Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Pours a somewhat cloudy honey color, Thinnish white head of small bubbles. Smells of malt more than hops which was surprising but good. Honestly it almost has that sweet type of Belgian smell to it. But it tastes like an IPA. Bitter with a very sweet finish. Lots of hops up front and the malt comes in and sweetens it up. Palate is a little on the thick side but not too thick. A good amount of carbonation. A different take on IPA I think. Very good though. More malt flavors than I usually find in an IPA, but still just the right amount of hops and bitterness.

Pretty decent IPA, distinctly Avery. Paler side of gold, decent head. Not particularly aggressive for an IPA, though definitely a sessionable IPA. Nice.

Aroma is a light citrusy grapefruit. The pour is golden with a decent frothy off white head. Head retention is excellent with very nice lacing. The hop flavor comes through nicely with hints of grapefruit.

12oz bottle. Pours a pretty huey orange/yellow body.. looks like a hefe. Nose is heavily citrus, orange peel, lemon/lime, and pine. Robust hop flavor, less piney and now grapefruit citrus tang coupled with some doughiness. Bitter finish which is a must to be good in this style. Citrus, pine, citrus 3.75

Bright brassy brew with 1/2 inch white fizzy head. Heavy aroma of pine and citrus with a dash of honey. Flavor is clean and grassy. A bit thin but highly drinkable. Good beer.

Crushed with Jakebra. Yes, hops and citrus. Citrus on the flavor, and awesomeness. Much awesome hops. Excellent IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is citrus, caramel, resiny, and floral. The flavor has a caramel malt base with nice floral and citrus hops. Medium bodied, decent drinking beer.
