Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Medium copper color with a substantial pillowy top. The aroma is merely vague, the beer’s only notable drawback. This is perfectly hopped, giving it a nice fruity and flowery character, but there’s a robust maltiness behind it and even a hint of smoke. Superb.

Aroma/bittering hops well balanced. Nice mouthfeel and carbonation. Malt is just enough to balance hops. This is my session beer!

Pours a medium copper color with a nice full white head. Smells of pine needles and citrus. Tastes citrusy, with a grapefruit prominence. Very similar to stone ipa and bells two hearted ale, yet lacking in the bite that those 2 have. Overall, an excellent ipa.

Huge fresh hop aroma. Big lacey white head. The flavor is acutely bitter and full of piney hops. Finishes clean and crisp. A fantastic and underrated IPA.

This IPA pours a golden orange with a nice white head. Immediate aroma of citrus fruit, predominantly grapefruiit, that carries over into the taste. The citrus taste, combined with just the right amount of hoppy bitterness and a hint of malt and alcohol, makes this very drinkable, with a great finish. I’m only dissapointed that I have not seen this in package stores, and will have to enjoy at Taco Mac for the time being. I could drink a lot of these on a hot summer day.

This beer should be the definition of an IPA. Mild to heavy hops, with a great balance of bitter hops to fruity/citrus hops. The malts are hidden within the hop aroma and taste. This pours an orange haze of hops. Quite a delicious beer. A very well balanced ale.

Glowing orange with a frothy, lasting head. Lively nose. Lovely mouthfeel: not too thick and syrupy and not too light. Sweet, cookie malts accented by very charismatic hops (floral, piney, grapefruity). Dry and bitter finish. Wonderful IPA!

light straw color with a fluffy white head. aroma is floral and grapefruit - pungent hop aroma. flavor is biased towards grapefruit citris hoppiness - and plent of it. mouthfeel is resinous and chewy - very good. this is an excellent IPA with the fine flavor characterists of the 3 Floyd's Dreadnaught IPA without the brutal ABV.
