Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

This is a solid ’standard’ easy drinking IPA. Appearance: Pours clear gold, with big white head and lots of lacing. Smell: Clean and light or reserved hop aroma. Taste: Grapefruit hop character that is bold but well balance with malt character. This is exactly what I want with a sessionable IPA. Simple but tasty with a nice dry finish to top it off. Mouthfeel: A bit thin feeling in the mouth. Light - medium body with adequate carbonation but just a tad too watery. Quit refreshing though just not what I expected. Drinkability: This is certainly a beer for drinking. If you like IPAs don’t waste time on a single get a case =) Hope this is helpful. Cheers!

a unique difference between the standard IPA, if there is such thing. Very balanced. Aroma very floral. Flavor was fruity...not strong, but complex and elusive....floral,(if u can imagine drinking a bouquet of flowers) orange, apricot. Very smooth....crisp...very good hop balance not too bitter, but compliments the brew.

Pours a clear amber with some nice cream head. Airy hoppy nose that gives some pine characters. Smells like a forest of vibrant pine trees. Flavor is meaty with piney attributes. Just a robust overall flavor profile. Not much complexity to it. It just hits you and stays that way. Feel is good on the liquid. Nice bubble to it as well. Overall pretty drinkable. Not really a hop bomb, and not really a dud. It is what it is.

Bottle. Pours golden, thin white head with lacing. Sticky floral and citrus fruit aroma - scent of fresh flowers, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple and honey. Flavor is full, round doughy malt middle, with light citrus-like bitterness - lychee, lemon peel - around the edges. Light piney bitterness in the aftertaste.

Here is a solid American IPA. Pours a very clear pale color with a white head that sticks around for the finally. Lots of citrus notes. Grapefruit it seems. Very floral in the nose. Just the right bitterness that lingers well. Lots of hop pungency. This is definately one of the better IPAs Iv’e had. For an American IPA this one I will grab for again and again. Thank you Avery! The Lord bless the hop harvest.

The appearance is clear straw yellow with a rocky off-white head. See-through with some bubbles sticking to the glass. Cloudier with a more vigorous pour. The smell is resiny hop up front; woody. Some roasted rye-like malts. A nice balance, but quite bitter all the way around. The taste is roasted pale malts at first, followed by some pine/spruce. Really hoppy in the woody sense. The malts leave a burnt aftertaste, which is perfect for balance. In the mouth, the malt sticks around all over the tongue; thick and creamy and hella nice. It’s a very nice, woody, pale IPA.

Smell is of tons of hops. Piny, resinous hops at first then citrus and grapefruit aromas come in.Malt is in the background with some sweet honey notes. Pours 3 finger white head, body is a translucent gold color. Head retention is pretty good and lacing is amazing Taste is obviously of hops. Floral hops followed by some bitter pine hops. Malt is not very much in the mix. Palate is light and well carbonated. Head leaves a nice froth through out the beer. Overall this beer is good. Semi sessionable , not too bitter. Not the best Ipa I’ve had but still pretty good.
