| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2005 This brew is a lightly cloudy pale orange color with a thin off-white head. Sticky patches of lacing. Good amount of grapefruit and hops in the nose. Medium-bodied with a tart mandarin orange and hops flavor, along with a decent malt backbone. The finish is hoppy and lingering. Pretty impressive when it’s all said and done. atomsmasher (8), Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2003 This is a hop heads delight. Light in appearance for an IPA. Great aroma and long lasting hop flavor. Wrath (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA

Strong hoppy flavor with just enough malts added. Citrus feel does come in at the end with a long hoppy grapefruit finish. Nice BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2003 Slightly darker than straw hue, small head and good lacing. Piney and grapefruit aroma, undertone of spice and herbs. Starts off bitter hop, grapefruit tang. Mellows out on finish, smooth for an west-coast style IPA. Dry and lively mouthfeel, thin to medium-bodied. I'm surprised but the low average score, I'm found this to be a very approachable beer. Recommended for hop-heads and non hop-head alike. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2003 Nice clear copper color that is crowned by a good lasting beige head. Aromas of citrus and hops waft from the glass as I pour it. A light grassy hay aroma (but only the good aspects), there is a decent amount of hop aroma to this beer. It is well carbonated, and gets quite lively when swirled in the glass. Great malt flavor that accompanies the hoppy flavor and bitterness. A malty sweet flavor with hints of biscuits and caramel malts. Quite a lingering bitterness in the finish. A good solid IPA, not quite over the top, which is good because you don't always want that. There is a ton of balanced flavors in this beer. Both the malt and hops are competing for attention, though the hops are the definite center piece. Definitely drink this beer on the warm side of cool, it allows more of the flavor to open up. cherr (162), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2004 This beer pours a nice deep brown. The smell is of obvious dry hopping, which is essential for a good IPA. The taste is well balanced with sweet malts and hops. I would like more citrus hops in this one (cascade/centennial). Very good beer though
