| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2006 Crystal cleat golden with a thick, sticky white head. Aroma is full of citrus and pine, with some Munich malt character. Lots of earthy and C hop flavor. Toasted. Strong bitter finish. A bit oily. A welcome addition to the KC area selection. jefcon (1000), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 17, 2005 Burnished gold in the glass with a just-off-white head and lots of lacing. Fantastic aromas of orange, marmalade, rich soapy hops, and tangerine. A little malt on the nose, but not much. Good strong hop bite that is full of fruit and soapy hops. The beer descends into a dry, rather flavorless finish, however -- bitter and a little green and floral. Still, a tremendous IPA for the hops alone. Cornfield (4942), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 4, 2004 This poured a clear golden color with a healthy white head. The hoppy aroma is mainly of orange rinds with a little bit of the floral. Tasty medium mouthfeel. There’s a solid nutty malt backbone with some serious grapefruit and orange bitterness. The finish is much less bitter than the taste had me expecting. Good IPA. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2004 Bottle.Spicy, fruity, sweet, yeasty aroma. Clear golden color with a respectable white head. Powerfully pungent flavor with a moderate malt base that barely supports it. Semi-dry, bitter finish. A bracing IPA that features a spicy hop profile more than the typical resinous one. I suspect this a from Styrian Goldings hops. Very good and distinct IPA.
