Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

6 pack from total beverage in Westminster. Medium yellow, foamy white head. Nice hoppy aroma - more foaral than anything. Good taste - lots of malt for a thin to medium (yet carbonated) body, but lots of fora hops. A really easy drinking flavorful IPA with a surprising amount of malt. Good stuff.

I love a good IPA but found this one to be a little lacking. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a light bronze color with a small creamy white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with a strong fruity hop presence. The mouthfeel is crisp and sparkling. The flavor is sharp with spicy and fruity hops. The beer is a little lacking in malt balance. Nice but there are so many out there that are better.

Bottle courtesy of biz82. Pours a slightly hazy bubbly copper with an average size diminishing fluffy off-white head. Aroma is big time hops, both citrus and floral. Flavour’s the same, big floral and citrus hops taste along with a good amount of sweet malt to balance it out and a nice long bitter dry finish -- delicious! Medium bodied. Very easy to drink and really flavourful, this is a top-notch session IPA.

Good floral aroma to this one like walking into a flower shop and taking a good wiff. Body was a golden cololor. White head that was decent. Citrus hop flavor that most IPA have was good. Cool and crisp on the palate. Great beer after a day of work.

Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a large foamy off white head that left lots of lacing. Aroma is very nice. First picked up orange and grapefruit from the hops. Sweet aroma overall. Maybe a touch of floral hops. Flavor is grapefruit, pine with a slight malt balance. A solid IPA for sure.

Clear gold/copper. Small, fizzy, off white head. Pungent, venomous, resinous, floral, piney hops dominate the nose. Tasting adds citrus notes and subtle malt support. Nowhere near balanced, which in my oppinion is a good thing for an IPA. I want a face full of hops when I reach for an IPA. The medium palate is balanced though, which is also a good thing. Solid brew.

Bottle (35 cl) at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg, Sweden. Clear amber, medium off-white head. Floral and citric hop aroma with pine needles, on a solid malt base. Medium bodied and smooth. Long bitter finish. Nice!

Bottle that’s heavy on the citrus cascade grapefruit orange end with a frothy head and some dryness in the aftertaste. It could use some more hops but is a drinkable beer.
