Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Pours light gold, with creamy white head. Upon close inspection there are small chunks of yeast still floating in the beer. Standard grapefruit aroma. Well balanced flavor. Pine, citrus, a little sting on the back of the throat. Good but I’m not blown away.

Bottle. Golden honey color with a thin white head. Nose of fruity hops, sweet, bright and very clean. Flavor is nicely bitter with smooth grassiness. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, nice carbonation. Very well balanced IPA, very drinkable. No gimmicks, just a great IPA.

This had an average aroma of hops with floralness.Color a medium amber.Average head. The taste was a medium bodird IPA with a pronouncement of hops.Had bitter finish.I was expecting this to be better.I think Stone and Bear Republic make much better Ipa’s,but this was good.

Huge hops for a regular IPA. Definite citrus tartness both aroma and flavor. Pretty much all that is going on here is this. A hop heads delight fo sho!

Bottle 12oz. In me Ølfabrikken beerglass right now !! Amber - white head. Lovely flowery hopped aroma. Taste: resin, pine, flowery, grape, very hoppy, some nice malty sweetness. Dry bitter finish, not too much. I love IPA’s !!!

Uhm- IPA. I am a big fan of US IPA and this one is in the "bitter" end. More than most IPA’s but after my oppinion spot on with the hops. I would like more distription and alcoholprocentes on the bottle like in EU.
