Commercial Description:
In the 1700's one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado's hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Bottle. Pleasant floral hop aroma. Flavor is well balanced between malt and hops, but the hop flavor is well pronounced (and tasty).

355 ml bottle. Pours a nice amber with a dense off-white head. Intense piney floral nose. Medium body with a bold malt and hop profile. Inital sweetness is quickly offset by an aggressive bitterness. Nice lingering battle between the sweet malt and bitter hop flavors.

On tap at Stone. Clear golden hues with a moderate white head. Nice citrus grapefruit aromas.Easy on the palate. Clean hop bitterness with very good flavor retention. Very subtle maltiness and driness. Nice IPA with straight ahead hops and not alot of complexity.

Good citrus note, with a balanced bitterness. This is everything you would expect from a india pale ale. Good Job.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Clear golden with puffy off-white head and lace. Lemony citrus hop aroma. Mild sweetness, grapefruityness, with strong citrusy hop finish. Medium body and carbonation. I like this type of IPA. Yum.

Aroma is pineapple, light grain, and some caramel. Cloudy amber pour with nice carbonation, thick yellow head, good lace. Solid grapefruit flavor, dry, and bitter. Weak grapefruit peel finish. Surprisingly good, but kind of unnaturally so.

Average IPA I thought. Hops and citrus. Nothing to extreme. Nothing really unique.

Had at The Pub in Pembroke Pines, FL. Purs a nice gold color, no real head. Aroma is citrus, hops, floral. Taste is hoppy and malty and the bitterness is present but not lingering. Nice beer overall.
