Nov 23, 2005 on par with the best IPA’s Avery does it again. Smooth, bubbly and flavorful this is a very well rounded beer.

Dec 13, 2007 Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Bright gold with white head, a bit light compared to a lot of IPAs, but very pretty. Really fresh hops in the nose, mostly orange and lemon citrus, with some herbal notes in the background. Flavor is again a hop fiesta, really fresh and juicy, over a nicely sweet light malt. Medium hops bitterness throughout balances everything nicely. Full and creamy, with a citrusy aftertaste. This was just delightful, really nicely done!

Apr 20, 2007 Very enjoyable IPA with the quintessential look and feel of what I like in a hoppy brew. A hint of English malts and sweet and fruity NW hops. Perfect tawny body and bustling off-white head. Yum!

Apr 25, 2006 Bottle. Pours super clear orangish yellow w/~1cm white head. Dissipates quickly to foam and a little lacing. Big, citrusy, piney, florally, sweet aroma. Bitter up front, then really well balanced with a lot of different, complex hop flavors - citrus, floral, spicy, piney. Solidy backbone of maltiness, a little sweet. Medium mouthfeel - smooth and buttery on the tongue with a nice, crisp finish. Definitely one of my favorite IPA’s. A tiny bit over the top, but what else do you expect from Avery. Just great, I love Avery brews.

Jul 9, 2007 Updated: Aug 20, 2008Bottle. .. Flowery, citusry aroma - with a tangerine/grapefruit slant. .. Clear, golden, nice white head with lots of lacing. .. Bitter flavor up front with hints of a malt backbone. .. medium body, lt carb. .. Wonderful IPA - incredibly drinkable. Could drink this all night long. Great Stuff.

Sep 3, 2007 Purchased at Gomer’s of Kansas. Pours a copper color with a white head. A nice strong hop aroma, grapefruit, and some floral aroma as well. Tasting some grapefruit around the hops but not too much. Finishes crisp with hops and is a great IPA.

May 23, 2006 Holy smokes this stuff is good. I could drink this all night long... hoppy, grapefruity, great mouthfeel. Truly a great IPA.

Nov 7, 2006 Updated: Jan 11, 2008Cask drawn, this among the best IPA’s I’ve ever had. Full rich flavor, huge hop nose and flavor, nice crisp bitterness, and a wonderfully thick and foamy head. I only wish I could get it like this all the time.
