App.: Clear amber with a large light tan head.
Aroma: Burnt sugar, some dark dried fruits, quite fruity, lightly spiced, there a sharp herbal note that I can’t quite place, kinda perfumy.
Palate: Medium-ish body, fairly sparse effervescence.
Flav.: Perfumed roasted malts, some earthy citrus, some fruitiness, but less than the nose, earthy, British malts, a little soapy; almost dry with very little bitterness and some leftover British malt.
Not great. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 17, 2009 The look is cloudy and hazy, but also bright. Lava lamp orange with tons of carbonation. Big head is puffy dishsoap; unstable. Leaves a film and a minor lacing.
Very nice dry malt smell. Biscuty with a cookie sweetness. Sweetness is like a pastry, not fruit. Quite nice. Fruit comes out as it warms.
Nice slightly pale flavor. Very mild and dry. A mild tartness, hints of lemon and grape. Some honey and just a smidge of spice. Really layered and balanced.
Feels creamy and thick. Slightly bubbly, but smooth overall. It’s highly drinkable, mild and dry. A nice sweet ale. Honey and red grape are the signature flavors. Gypsy19 (637), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Pours a thick dark orange with a medium ivory head. Aroma is fruity; of tangerine/orange and other fruits. Flavor is unique. definitely has the farmhouse thing going on, just slightly funky with subdued grapefruit flavors, dusty cardboard finish. Not a bad flavor, but nothing to die for either. Average mouthfeel, sticky. Upper-medium viscosity. Overall, good minus. Fratto (728), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Hazy copper color with generous head, from draught tap in Boulder, CO. Nose has a slight smoky note that mixes with a background of malt and hops. Nothing special jumps out otherwise. Very balanced beer on the palate with inoffensive finish. A pleasing, daily beer with few flaws but few features to write home about. Worth trying. msante79 (830), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2009 12oz bottle from Lukas Liquor. Pour golden orange with white head. Aroma is yeast, grains and some citrus. Flavor is wheat, citrus, malt and some caramel. There is some hops in there to. Kind of like an american version of a belgain. Very drinkable and while not complex or the the style it is an enjoyable brew. dmac (1469), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 10, 2009 12 oz bottle from Canal’s. Pours a good looking deep amber with an orange hue and an average size bubbly off white head. Aroma is very subdued, slight tangerine, grapes and tropical fruit combined with yeast, grains and caramel malts. Body is medium to full with averge carbonation and a spicey finish. Flavor is even more elusive then the aroma, grains, malts, yeast , some fruitiness is there as well but nothing to give it enough flavor to really set itself apart from all the other averge beers out there. boFNjackson (1302), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Bottle... Poured burnt orange with a thick white head, a little bit of sediment was floating around too. Nice big ester aroma with raisins, floral hops and sweet malt. Thin, well-carbonated palate. Flavors a little similar to the aroma, but more muddled. Citrus and other spices before a dry finish.
