Commercial Description:
We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we've created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here's to being good!

12oz bottle. Pours murky dark copper with a thin white head. Caramel, butterscotch, mint, cilantro and wet grass on the nose. Not overly pleasant. Fairly bland flavor. Some lighter toasty malt, watery grain. Slightly zingy finish with some wet cardboard for added effect. Kind of watery. Messy and unimpressive.

Bottle. Pours amber with a white head. Sweet and fruity hop aroma with a hint of caramel and honey. Medium body. Sweet malt flavor with nutmeg and caramel. Pretty good.

pours a hazy darkish amber with an off-white head. aroma is spiced honey, citrusy hops, pine and a little zing. taste is spiced with yeasty notes & malt. i agree with some of the previous reviews; the taste is where this one falls flat. the aroma is enticing, but then the taste is just to simple and mellow. mid-full bodied with a foamy, prickly mouthfeel. light bitter finish. really not the best i’ve had from avery, but would probably fit nicely into a session.

Bottle. Probably my least favorite of all Averys. I do not get much Belgian characteristics out of this. Rather a mess of some spices and yeast and a bit of honey. Not very good

Didn’t take notes, but considering I can’t remember this beer very much amongst six average beers speaks pretty much for itself. Some bitterness, but pretty boring.

Poured a slightly hazed golden amber with a small white head, little lacing. Had a great nose lightly metallic with hints of spice, some citrus fruits and hops. Overall, a pretty weak Belgian ale.

Nice deep copper coloured body with a hazy hue to it and a smallish tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, metal, blood, corn and some light sugars. Medium-bodied; Mild malty taste with some sweetness and not much else - very bland! Aftertaste shows some of the corn and cardboard - but once again...pretty bad actually! Overall, this one looks and smells a bit better than it tastes...but all things considered, this is a pretty bad offering. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 19-November-2005 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Pours a slightly cloudy amber color into the trappist glass with a very minimal head. There was a malty, yeasty scent with hints of pepper and spice. Small bits of sediment floated in the glass. A faint yeast flavor and funkiness were evident when tasting. A thin palate and finish.
