Sugary malts and fruits on the nose and a souring yeasty tang combines with the fruits, apples, berry, peach flavors to provide for a quenching brew. Not bad, but there was still something missing here. Skyview (4055), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Will this beer be a Good Karma or a Bad Karma? I was told there is no such thing as an in-between (except in the animation motion picture industry) so bring on the rating... From a 12-oz single bottle, shared by joebrew, pours a dark golden brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behing a fine ring. Aroma of dry malty caramel and a slight citrus zest with some sour apple. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some clove and a orange citrus bitter flavor. Finish is slightly metalic, a little bitter with some watery citrus aftertaste flavor. The verdict is Good Karma. Not an Excellent Karma but a good one instead. milewide (612), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Avery is much better with roasted malt or highly hopped recipes. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Pours a nice amber with a small white head. Light nutty, ripe tropical fruit, and apricot. Nice light carbonation with light citrus and good peach. A great session belgian ale for a good price. blklab2007 (965), Connecticut, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 25, 2007 bottle pours a light amber with minimal carbination and a thin layer of head on the glass. smell is sweet malts, peachy apricot, vanilla, and spice. taste is spicy malt, alcohol, and some hops. middle of the road beer, nothing unique in this one. i guess it is pretty close to a farmhouse, pale ale as the label advertises though. my least favorite so far from Avery. asedzie (456), San Francisco, California, USA

Aroma: apricot, orange, musky yeast. Flavor is faint caramelly malt and some apricot and lemon peel hop flavors. Slight unclean vinegary sauer kraut flavor. Some light grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel a little watery. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
