Aroma: apricot, orange, musky yeast. Flavor is faint caramelly malt and some apricot and lemon peel hop flavors. Slight unclean vinegary sauer kraut flavor. Some light grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel a little watery. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2007 POurs light brown with a nice firm head. It shows fruit/citrus notes from the hops and then gives you a bit of a sweet and spicey palate witha longer lasting finish. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Pours a lightly hazy, amber color with fairly small, off-white, fizzy-frothy head; longevity is decent and lacing is... Nose is grainy with sweet malts and light phenols. Flavor is better with similar notes and a nice toffee note and faint esters. Palate is fairly light, lively, and mostly dry. Finishes abruptly and dry with some phenols and light esters. Fairly boring for a Belgain but it is quite drinkable. Lacks the character of most of Avery’s beers. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of sweet malts, dark fruits, and yeast. Not very Belgian in the aroma. Flavor starts off with a slight hint of some citrus hops, dark fruits, toasted malts, and some spices and finishes with almost nothing. Overall this really wasn’t that great but perhaps that’s because I was expecting more from Avery. dyetube (419), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 9, 2007 This beer pours a golden amber with a small white head. Wow this is a very ordinary and blandish beer! Not much character, very little flavor and no good aromas like a good belgian. This is probably avery’s worst beer if you ask me. Avery’s specialty brews tend to be good but some of thier mainline stuff is not! Oh well, good thing I only have to drink 2 more of these (I split the sixpack). Cheers! mreeves (257), Sammamish, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 6, 2007 A too light, boring, bland beer that really lacks description in my view. I’m just not sure what this is except a fairly flavorless, uninteresting sort of brew. I had a Bud Light after this on the 4th of July (it was the only thing available) and there just wasn’t a big difference. Kind of tells you something. scottmc (167), Lakewood, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2007 A very light summer ale with light hops and light malts. The taste is quite easy to enjoy and the aroma is very faint. A very clear pour with a moderately clear body. Similar to an american pale ale.
