Commercial Description:
We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we've created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here's to being good!

Cloudy orange color, white head. Fruity flavor. Good beer. Crisp. Not to bitter, kind of sweet.

Doesn’t seem to grab the attention that a true Belgian beer should. Dry finish with almost a champagne type feeling aftertaste. A good solid beer, but I’ve had better from Avery.

Honeyish, somewhat floral aroma. Starchy and pretty bland. Lightly sweet, a bit astringent, tart, light (perhaps imagined) spicing. Medium finish is lightly tart. Orangey gold. Do-nothing label. Not bad, not worth going out of your way for.

6 pack. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this. Poured a copper orange color with a small white head. Light lacing on the glass. Faint aroma. Light sweet taste, but nothing too special. A bit of a disappointment.

12 oz. bottle from Santa Fe Spirits. Drank on 6/1/06. Pours really orange copper. Very clear. Small white head. Drops quickly to a layer of foam that stays around for a while. OK lacing. Aroma is not very strong at all. Maybe a little orange and a little spice. Flavor is sharp, crisp, and bitter up front. Kind of fizzy on the tongue, some interesting citrusy, orange, lime. Really dry and crisp finish. Little orange, sweet, and spice afterwards. Definite belgian yeast character. Not strong, but there for sure. Palate - Really light. Decent amt. (higher, but good) of carb. Very sharp and dry. Especially in the finish. Overall - OK. Definitely some interesting flavors. Light, crisp lawnmower beer. Little too dry, and a little too citrusy. But good and intersting. In all honesty I rated this too late in the evening after too many beers. This deserves a re-rating.

Pretty cloudy orange pour (you read that right, cloudy from Avery) with a delicate white head that slowly fades, leaving an unstable cover. Estery nose displays the lightest floral hops that accompany a good amount of acetaldehyde and plenty of peach flavors. If it weren’t for that strong biscuity doughy yeast aromatic, I would call it juicy. In mouth, the palate shows surprisingly soft, uniform carbonation and a medium body. While initially sweet, yeastiness quickly gains it over the soft honeyed malts. Rather metallic aftertaste. Average, simply not much happening in mouth, the carbonation feels a bit low and hops are hesitant.

A very dry Belgian ale. It reminds me of Arabier. Light malt in the aroma and flavor; a hint of fruit, and finishes very hoppy for the style and remains dry throughout. Cloudy orange appearance with a large white head.
