Commercial Description:
We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we've created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here's to being good!

Light fruity aroma, light copper color with very thin wispy white head. Taste has an apricot fruitiness along with very mild malt notes. There is a suggestion of hop bitterness midway that seems to build to the finish. Dry sorta malty finish. Interesting brew. Not one I’ll be pining for though.

Bottle (12oz). Poured bright clear pale copper with a decent foamy-rocky off-white head. Aroma is initially slightly funky grainy-malt, with some mild dry floral hops, fruit and yeast - mild indeed - is this Avery? Where’s the booze??? Taste has initially a touch honey & fruit sweetness, fresh hay and mild malt, some light citrus bitterness balances it out, quick off the palate but a slightly bitter aftertaste lingers. Mouthfeel is very lightly dry, astringent, carbonated - a touch flat, I’m not sure how this is a "belgian ale" - seems like a decent session amber to me, but a pleasant quaff.

Pours amber in color with a small head. Not much lacing. Pleasent aroma of fruit. Taste is good -- mildly hoppy, malty and yeasty with a nice finish. Drinks easy.

Clear orange Copper, with a foamy, thin head. Fruity, banana aroma, with a whiff of pine in the background, Some notes of yeast, clove, and pineapple that combine with a hoppy, resiny finish. It’s OK, but feels like something is missing or possibly somehow less than the sum of its parts.

I was expecting more from this beer but it truly is a horribly mediocre brew. Filtered ugly brown pour with almost no head even when poured vigorously. The aroma is corny and starchy and kinda nasty. Dry as a bone in the mouth with none of the mentioned esters to be found. There is a distinct husky, wheatiness that is the only saving grace of this brew but doesn’t really fit the style at all. Not that this tastes belgian in any way, shape or form. I’d more quickly call this an american wheat than anything.

Pours amber with a white one-finger head. Very fruity aroma--peach, apricot, orange, tangerine, and a small bit of banana. Light notes of coriander and yeast. Malty, slightly metallic beginning, almost like a Marzen. The fruit and Belgian yeast characteristics come through in the middle and the end. Decent but unexciting.

Bottle. Pours a light copper, extremely clear with a white tight head that last. Aroma is full of fruit, lots of esters. Some belgian definitely shines thru, along with a bit of alcohol. Flavor is light caramel along with some candi characteristics. Medium body. Overall, a very interesting beer. It’s like a light amber with a belgian yeast. There’s a lot going on it it, but very subtle.

Copper/amber, with a white head. Just about no aroma at all, small bits of malt and hops. Flavors are maly, yeast, hops. Nothing special here.
