Commercial Description:
We believe in Karma. We suspect most of you do, too. It truly is a global concept. Very simply put, "you get what you give." Inspired by this principle and the wonderful farmhouse and pale ales of Belgium, we've created Karma Ale, a decidedly fruity and estery ale, intricate in body and nose, all driven by a unique Belgian yeast strain. Remember, good things DO happen to good people. Here's to being good!

I couldn’t tell if this was a Belgian ale. The appearance is unarguably like a Belgian ale. However, it actually tastes like a sugary lager to me, but it’ll do for a session. This is an okay American pale ale with a boring result from - unfortunately - Belgian influence.

The appearance is amber, white head. The aroma is caramel, hops. The flavor is caramel, malts, slight floral hoppiness. Slight floral hops on the finish as well. Boring, but drinkable.

Avery Karma is a cloudy, sparkling amber ale with a thick, fluffy yellowish head that has outstanding retention and lacing. The aroma has notes of bread, banana/clove and slightly sweet malt. It is medium-light bodied, bubbly and fluffy with a clean, dry finish. It is lightly flavored with not much bitterness. There is a little spice, pepper and phenol in the taste. It’s pretty well blended and unoffensive.

Copper in colour. Poured a decent enough off white head and left average lacing. Smelling this beer was definetly a dissapointing. Weak and boring hops, malts and fruit...and probally caramel or something like it. While I enjoyed this while it was ice cold, but it turned into a crummy beer after warming. Some spice, but mostly malts followed by plain yeast and some decent citrusy flavour. Decent hoppy finish that felt quite good. Made me drool. Too bad the flavour couldn’t. Just another beer.

Pours a clear peachy copper with a one finger white head. Aroma is citrus , hints of sweet caramel and dark fruit malt, and some zesty yeasty spice in the form of clove and coriander. Flavor is sweet and somewhat grainy. Citrus and spice are predominant, with a light sweet malt character taking a back seat. Palate is lackluster, coming on a bit thin and finishing clean. Not overly impressed.

12oz bottle from Binnys Orland Park. Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma is of malt, yeast, dark fruit, sugar, and wheat. Taste is of malt, apples, yeast, sugar, and wheat. The beer is a strange mix of assorted fruit and earthy flavors. Lingering fruity taste. Tastes very unbalanced. This beer is not in any way good. I don’t even know what else to say about it’s suckiness.

Tasted as part of the Avery Experience at Brouwer’s. Pours the color of a highland scotch whiskey with a small head. Malty, fruity, with a nice aroma, but with a weak flavor. Slightly tinny, and it really lacks punch. Almost like a premium version of a macro lager.
