Aug 31, 2008 Pours jet black with a tall tan head. Looks like a stout. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel and hops. Coffee, roasted malts, caramel and a hint of hops make up the taste. Better if beer is just slightly cool. Nice twist.

Aug 31, 2008 Dark brown/black pour with a medium foamy tan head that fizzes away. Lots of dark roasted malt and coffee, as well as a bit of dark chocolate in the aroma and flavor. The hoppy finish on a porter seems out of place, but really it works well, cutting in to the sweetness a bit. Not bad at all.

Aug 23, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown/black color with a light tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of malt and caramel with a hint of roasted coffee beans. The balance b/w the malts and hops is very apparent, it actually more on the malty side which surpised me as I expected it to be more bitter. Medium bodied and easy on the palate.

Aug 20, 2008 This tastey brews pours a dark brown colour with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is pleasent, with a well rounded roaste malt character, fresh coffee grounds, and toffee. Mouthfeel is creamy, firm and generous, taste is delightful, finishes very smooth.

Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle. dark brown-amber pour with a medium tan head. aroma of caramel, hops, chocolate and nuts. a well balanced coffee and chocolate taste with a dry and chalky finish. one of the more drinkable porters I’ve had. nice amount of carbonation in the medium palate. good stuff.

Aug 6, 2008 Bottle from By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a rich brown body with a medium tan head. Hoppy, chocolaty, nutty, licorice nose. Creamy, mild, medium, and highly drinkable. A little roasty and with some coffee notes. Avery rules!

Aug 4, 2008 Dark mahogany pour, malty chocolate aromas. Creamy roasted mild coffee with very sweet finish. Solid to great mouth feel - silky smooth, great brew.
