Jun 14, 2008 Dark ruby, lacing espresso head. Malty, rye pyddingy nose. Roasted and smooth, even a bit doppelbockish. Flavor is roasted malts, rye pudding, some dry coffee. Where’s the dry-hopping? Medium to full bodied, very smooth and easy porter.

Jun 13, 2008 Updated: Sep 1, 2008Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large dark brown head. The aroma was roasty and had light notes of chocolate and floral hops. The flavor was roasty and lightly bitter with a hint of coffee and floral hops. The finish was bitter and roasty. Decent.

Jun 11, 2008 Dark reddish brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, toffee, brown sugar, caramel and mild yeast. Semi-thin and creamy body tastes of molasses, roasted malts, chocolate with a mild hop finish. Nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd but good nonetheless.
