Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large dark brown head. The aroma was roasty and had light notes of chocolate and floral hops. The flavor was roasty and lightly bitter with a hint of coffee and floral hops. The finish was bitter and roasty. Decent.

Bottle from Beerfest at Sudwerk in Davis, CA. This was a pretty malty example of a porter with chocolate, coffee, and nut flavors. All in all, it was pretty good.

Dark reddish brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, toffee, brown sugar, caramel and mild yeast. Semi-thin and creamy body tastes of molasses, roasted malts, chocolate with a mild hop finish. Nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd but good nonetheless.

Pours black with thinning head. Deep roasted chocolatey malts come off on the nose as well as a piney/citrus hopped quality. Definite coffee/espresso notes are with a sugary/caramel sweetnening on both taste and smell, as well as a slight citrus fruity element towards the back of the palate. Medium to thinner body doesnt quite coat the mouth, but provides a deent drinkability. Nice porter

12 oz. Nearly opaque black, with red highlights and a two-finger head that settles to a small creamy ring. Chocolate, caramel and slight orange in the aroma. Stronginsh hop front is citrus-resin and starts like an IPA. The malt comes in after while with coffee, caramel, chocolate and char. Also some prickly green wood and herbs present. Medium body is mostly smooth, but has some acidic-like tongue tingle and occasional carbonation astringency.
