Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

I like a sweeter porter. This was dry. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Very dry taste with the hops peaking through.

Aroma is filled with red fruits; raspberry and cherry. Flavor leans more towards baking chocolate. Pretty good stuff.

Draft and Bottle. I couldnt get over how good this was on draft, however the last 2 times i had it bottled it was real good but not the memorable brew i had in mind. Dark pour with chocolate and a spicy hop aroma that doesnt show up so much in the beer it self. Very roasty ans a solid choice.

A more complex porter, lots of chocolate, spice typical of avery, and some alcohol notes present. Unique, but not sure if its my top representation of the style.

Bottle. Pours dark black with thick off white head. Sweet caramel aroma surprisingly dominates the chocolate. The chocolate takes over in the flavor, alongside a nice roasted and mildly bitter presence. Very Good Porter.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Bitter and Sour 2008)
Very dark, red glints, almost black; brief beige head. Very milky malty aroma. Anna says it’s just like a malted milk drink she had as a kid. Thick sticky mouthfeel - full of burnt starches - tons of heavily roasted malt, feels like it leaves dust on my tongue.

One of my favorite porters. Pours rich black and is surprised to have a touch of hoppiness to counter the malt and sweetness. Still, flavors are that of coffee and roasted chocolate. Delicious.

A unique porter. Dark, dark brown, but light does pass through it. A nice tan head that lasts for a bit. Aroma is hops and more hops. Flavor is hoppy and a tad bitter. Strong coffee flavors are present as well...if you like dark beers and hops then this is the beer for you.
