Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Bottle. Luscious aroma of chocolate, coffee, some general fruity sweetness, nuttiness. Solid flavor, very classic porter, largely coffee with some nuts. Nice full body. Very impressed.

12oz bottle. Aroma of dark roasted malt and zesty citrus hops. Some creamy chocolate. Nice balance between creamy sweet malt and zesty bitter hops. Pours opaque brown with a lasting, thick, creamy khaki head. producing nice lacing. Flavor has lots of toasted bitter malt and some citrus, and slightly pine resin, hops. Bittersweet chocolate. A hint of roasted nuts. The dry hopping really adds an interesting aspect to a traditional porter. Medium to full bodied. Creamy. Bitter malt finish.

bottle, pours dark brown with a tan head. Nice chocolate and roast aroma, which dominate any smell of hops. Nice hops character of pine and slight citrus blend well with the warm chocolate and roasted malts, slightly creamy as well. Quite NIce.

12 fl oz bottle at Ĝlbaren. Pours dark brown with dense chocolate brown head. Roasted malt aroma, hints of choolate and a vague chalk note. Flavour is roasted malt, smooth chocolate and a very light acidity. Ends roasted malty and slight acidic. Lovely flavourful and yet uncomplicated.

Botltle. Pours deep dark brown with a medium dark brown head. The aroma is surprisingly hoppy, some citrus/resin. The flavor is malty with hints of chocolate and some espresso but hops are the star here. I was surprised at the complexity of this porter. The hops come through clean and citrusy. The combination gives this porter a bitter finish. The mouth feel is medium and has some bight. Nice.

This was just terrific. Very complex aroma of barley, chocolate, and raisins. I felt that there was a stronger taste of either raisins and/or prunes mixed with light chocolate and grain. Real tastey beer that I would for sure look for again.

rich chocolaty black color with a nice tan head. Smells of rich hops complemented by an almost blueberry sweetness. A strong hop bitterness confronts your taste buds soon giving way to a more subtle and complex malt character. There is a slight acidity that brings forth cola flavors. A great porter from one of my favorite breweries.
