Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

rich chocolaty black color with a nice tan head. Smells of rich hops complemented by an almost blueberry sweetness. A strong hop bitterness confronts your taste buds soon giving way to a more subtle and complex malt character. There is a slight acidity that brings forth cola flavors. A great porter from one of my favorite breweries.

a beer of ample aromas and tastes that are of opposing styles. substantial enough in body and interesting it does appeal to me since it is well hopped out. tastes of chocolate and burnt (and muted) coffee weave in to a brew that is also a bit sweet, nutty and as i stated hopped out. somewhat creamy and velvety it is a pleasant and busy beer at the same time. a succesful experiment that must be tried and should become a _i need something different_ beer favorite. good dry finish is full of flavor. i get a sense of dark cherry and almond that rounds this out well.

Chocolate/toffee/coffee nose. Has a nice dark brown almost black color, with a red hue. Smooth balance, nothing seems to dominate, great harmony of flavors, surprising hop bitterness to balance the richness of the malt. Nice full body with a crisp finish. Seems familiar, yet the hops makes it quite different than a "normal" porter...an extremely enjoyable beer!

Pours almost opaque. Massive tan head. Nose is more hoppy than malty. It’s almost a wrestling match between malts and piney hops. Flavor is odd. Definite hops here. Which makes it weird in combination with the malts of what I feel a porter should be. Kind of a woody smoky thing going on in the flavor. Feel is thick on the liquid. Good bubble too. Overall this is an oddity. It is called New World Porter for a reason I am guessing. Way more hops in there than you would see in the "old world". Makes for an interesting combination for sure. Just don’t expect anything traditional. It’s interesting to drink this and think about dry hoppy-ness. You really do get that as a strong character aspect.

Black with huge light brown head. Aroma is packed with chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is sweet with roasted malt, chocolate and liquerice. Ends light bitter. Nice!

12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque, black body with reddish hue and a brown head. Milk chocolate aroma with some maltiness. Smooth, medium body. Roasted malt, chocolate, and toffee flavors. Slight hop bitterness near the finish. Dry coffee finish.

12oz. brown bottle served in shaker pint. Poured a deep brown/black with a finger of fine bubbled tan head. Hoppy aroma with some chocolate malt. Medium bodied. Roasted malt bitterness. Refreshing hop flavor. Dry malt finish with some coffee. Lingering hop bitterness as well. This tasted very fresh to me. Nice American Porter.

12oz. Pours pretty dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is pretty dead when it is cold, but as it comes up to room temperature (where I recommend drinking this one) it really comes alive. When it is colder you mostly just get caramel and toffee with nary a roasted malt or hop, but as it warms the roast and hops show their face. With the warmth comes alcohol, so you win some you lose some. Solid porter.
