Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Rated 5/25/07: What a great porter, this beer suited me just right. Hoppy aroma more floral than bitter it’s real enticing. Roasted malt scent with lots of chocolate and caramel. Opaque cocoa color with an amber tint around the edges. Thick light brown head and immense sticky lacing. Creamy and exceptionally smooth on the palate, medium-heavy body for this style with a silky finish. I love the thick malts and abundant hop flavors. Big chocolate upfront with a nutty taste as well. Mild coffee afterthought balanced by a touch of smoke. Dry hopping this beer is a great idea as it works wonderfully. This is wonderful!

Pours black with a small light brown head. Smells slightly roasty with just a touch of hops in there too. Overall pretty mild aromas. The taste is very hoppy for a porter, I can tell its dry-hopped. It mixes in with the roast and dark malts pretty well actually. i get some chocolate, but the hops seem to dominate it. Finishes pretty clean and smooth. Nice beer.

Bottle. Black colour with a beige head. Quite roasty malty, chocolate, coffee and liquorice aroma. Great flavour of well roasted malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, dark fruits and liquorice. Bitter roasty finish.

Pours black with a large, light tan head that leaves lots of lacing as it dissipates. Red accents appear when held to light. Smells malty, of burnt sugar/ caramel, but doesn’t taste too sweet. The flavor is a really cool interplay of chocolate and citrus. The feel is smooth, not heavy, very drinkable. A great blend of traditional English porter flavors with citrusy American hop flavors.
