| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 20, 2007 Pours black with a large, light tan head that leaves lots of lacing as it dissipates. Red accents appear when held to light. Smells malty, of burnt sugar/ caramel, but doesn’t taste too sweet. The flavor is a really cool interplay of chocolate and citrus. The feel is smooth, not heavy, very drinkable. A great blend of traditional English porter flavors with citrusy American hop flavors. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 19, 2007 Very dark brown coloured, brown head. Coffee, roasted malts, hops, really good. In addition some blackcurrant and liquorice. Flavour is less complex, predominantly bitter, thin mouthfeel, liqourice dominates. Bitter finish. Flavour’s a bit disappointing, and overall the beer would be a lot better if it would be more creamy. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands

Black coloured, with a medium, beige head. Taste is sweet, quite bitter, coffee and chocolate malty, bit fruity touch. Quite good, but the beer should be more creamy. sunevdj (1786), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
