Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Bottle. Black colour with a beige head. Quite roasty malty, chocolate, coffee and liquorice aroma. Great flavour of well roasted malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, dark fruits and liquorice. Bitter roasty finish.

Pours black with a large, light tan head that leaves lots of lacing as it dissipates. Red accents appear when held to light. Smells malty, of burnt sugar/ caramel, but doesn’t taste too sweet. The flavor is a really cool interplay of chocolate and citrus. The feel is smooth, not heavy, very drinkable. A great blend of traditional English porter flavors with citrusy American hop flavors.

Very dark brown coloured, brown head. Coffee, roasted malts, hops, really good. In addition some blackcurrant and liquorice. Flavour is less complex, predominantly bitter, thin mouthfeel, liqourice dominates. Bitter finish. Flavour’s a bit disappointing, and overall the beer would be a lot better if it would be more creamy.

Aroma of coffee and chocolate malts, some hops, blackcurrant and licorice. Black coloured, with a medium, beige head. Taste is sweet, quite bitter, coffee and chocolate malty, bit fruity touch. Quite good, but the beer should be more creamy.

12oz Bottle Pours out a light black topped with a creamy tan head. Aroma of hops???? Crazy I can’t get past the hops. Pretty cool. A nice bit of roast and sweet in it as well.

Bottle @ Copenhagen Øl Festival 2007. Average fizzy beige head that mostly diminished. Fair lacing. Dark mahogany colour. Liquorish, coffee, chocolate, dry fruit. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with some toasted bitter notes. Sweet finish.
