Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Vanilla aroma, with hints of coffee and chocolate. Pours dark brown/black with a thick tan head. Rich roasted malt taste, chocolate, coffee, a big hop flavor in the end, crisp, and then smooth malty after taste. Not bad. I do like the hoppy finish.

Bottle. Hops and lots of roast malt in the sweet aroma, but it’s the black malt that really shines through. Dark ruby/pitch body with a luscious, creamy light brown head. Taste is a smooth blend of roast, chocolate, and black malt with light nuttiness and caramel. Crisp, dry, nutty and lightly hopped finish and aftertaste. Light coffee bitterness lingers. Medium body with a touch of sourness and a slightly-warmed soul. High degree of complexity here, flavors are falling all over each other. Really a superb porter!

A very good Porter. Dark and rich. Roasted malt and carmel flavors come through nice and strong. Coffee and bread taste next then a great almost dry finish. A winner.
