Commercial Description:
A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Dense light brown head. Sweetish, chocolatish, light roasted, spiced and herbal aroma. Quite delicious. Flavour is smooth. Loads of chocolate and a mild roastiness in the flavour. Fruits is there, herbs are there and some vague spicenotes. Medium to full bodied. Quite dry mouthfeel. Balanced. Ends on a light roasty bitterness with some choconotes. Good one and just what I needed today after a long day at work.

Draft at Mad Mex: Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt and caramel. Flavor, chocolate and other malts with a bittersweet finish. Not bad, probably shouldn’t have had it with a spicy cheese dip, but oh well.

Very hoppy aroma with roasted malty character. Good dark bown black color with brown head, diminishing. Hops are very present in the flavor, almost overpowering the malt, but good. Palate is solid, very drinkable. Good overall.

12 oz. bottle picked up at Picadilly’s in Champaign. Poured almost black with a thin tan head that just stayed on the top of the beer the entire time I was drinking it. Earthy, bready aroma as well as some piney hops. Some sweet, dried fruit flavors and lots of roasted malts as well, with a nice hoppy finish. Maybe a bit overhopped for the style, but still a solid porter.

12oz, no date. Pours a deep brown with a small <1 finger tan head. Aroma of roasty coffee, unsweetened cocoa, charred wood, and a bit of pine. Some molasses and brown sugar in there as well. Flavor much the same with a little caramel sweetness, but is overtaken with a roasty, lightly chalky dry bitter finish. Light-moderate carbonation, medium bodied. A nicely made porter.

Bottle at home. Black - light brown head. Dried fruits, raisins, burned, roasted, coffee, chokolate, hop - --> lovely high hopped. Dry hopped finish.

Very nice porter, a bit astringent with the hops. Not my favorite by any means but it says what it is and should be commended for not hyping itself otherwise.
