| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2006 I liked this porter, not too sweet at all. much more hopped than expected, but it loses some flavor as it warms, I don’t know why, but its very mellow as it warms, good drink though! Alcohol is well hidden! nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2006 Bottle. Rich coffee color with a thin caramel colored head. Aroma is hoppy, smoky, bitter chocolate notes, cherries, mildly sweet, and little earthy (bananas?). Flavor is immediately bitter (like bitter almonds), smoky flavors, almost burnt tasting. Good bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is decent, refreshing, nicely carbonated, but too watery. Nothing outstanding, but very drinkable. virgil23 (14), Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Pours a rich chocolate brown with a nice head. Smells sweet and roasty. Tastes smooth and refreshing and leaves a nice hopped flavor when it’s all over. This is a great porter. cab (863), Denmark

Roasty chocolate, caramel, and hops in the aroma. Flavors of chocolate, fruit, roasted malt, and hops with a roasted after-taste. A fairly thin palate. Worth a try, but just an average porter. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Small head that dissipates quickly leaving no lace. Mild aroma of caramel and chocolate malts. Thin mouthfeel. Roasted chocolate and raisen flavors. Weak fizzy cola-like finish with some hops playing behind the burnt chocolate malt. Too much carbonation. Unspectacular and a bit bland....sort of like their Out of Bounds Stout.....
