BeerBelcher (698), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Mar 20, 2008 This is quite a nice porter, with some good roastiness and a nice amount of toffee/caramel character in addition to more hops than I’ve experienced previously in beers of this style.
Appearance was quite dark and opaque with only a little whisp of tan head. Aroma was a bit hoppy with a good amount of caramel and some pleasant earthiness. Flavor was more caramel-y with evident hops. Mouthfeel was good but unexceptional.
I’d recommend this porter. I had mine on-tap at Roman’s Pub in Milwaukee.
