stchloe (253), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 3, 2008 Re-invents the whole porter thing. Becomes balanced, the smooth malt and barley with sweeter hops, a cheap excellent micro porter. kassner (217), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 30, 2008 On tap at Magoo’s. Not much head but black and nice lacing. Plenty of licorice aromas, medicinal taste , with Coke and smoke, some slight hops. Finish sticks to the medicinals. cmillward (235), Orlando, Florida, USA Nov 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a nice tan head, some lacing. Nose of roasty chocolate, mild maltiness topped with a pleasant citrus/spicy hop presence. Roasty, chocolate and dry caramel with a firm bitter end. Fairly light in mouth, with slight astringency and nice carb, well-balanced. A solid porter spiked with some hops. fidel (312), Livermore, California, USA Oct 28, 2008 Dark brown, roasted malts, caramel, little dark chocolate, little coffee, little hops. Hank1980 (416), Athens, Georgia, USA Oct 27, 2008 Porter received as extra in trade. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma of big roasted malts, light hops. Taste is similar with more malt, caramel, and hops. A little more hopped than most, if not all, porters. Mouth is smooth and creamy. Overall, a solid and unique porter.
