Spicy aroma of mixed malts. Flavor is very robust, malty with a touch of nut. Subtle spiciness - guessing it is not actually spice from the description - that is very warm and rich. Full bodied and delicious. ditmier (1110), Boise, Idaho, USA

Aroma of toffee, dark fruit, malts and some nuttiness. Taste of hops, maltiness and raisin with some fruit and spice. Nice winter beer that does not come with an real alcohol finish that some strong dark ales are known for. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Pours a medium brown with a big tan head that leaves nice big lacing. Smells strongly of malt, brown sugar and caramel, lovely aroma. Very sweet and malty flavor with a very creamy finish and aftertaste. Mild hopping. Another tasty one from Avery.
