Aug 3, 2008 Amber-brown in colour, creamy and rich beige coloured head, excellent lacing. The aroma is malty, chalky, some chocolate, plums, high sweetness. The aroma is malty, rich, sweet with lots of fruit and some chocolate. Sweet but still some bitterness in the mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes sweet, fruity and malty.
This dries out at the end but it still lacks a bit of what the Fullers Vintage Ales bring.

Jul 13, 2008 Pours a brilliant mahogany with a creamy ecru head. Aroma of brazil nuts, light spice, and black tea. Nice flavor; rich but light enough to be quite drinkable. Very nice.

Jul 8, 2008 Like Fullers 1845, this is a seasonal. But like that beer, it is not a traditional spiced holiday ale. It is a well brewed strong ale. Aromas and flavors of toffee, brown sugar, and roasted malts.

Jun 24, 2008 Pours a great head, the colour of the beer is dark red. The aroma is malty, with hops and roasted barley. Flavor is very good with roasted barley and hops.

May 30, 2008 From the bottle. Pours a beautiful rich ruby brown with a lovely tan head. Aromas of currants and raisins. Nice malty sweetness in the flavor profile with chocolatey, toffee and nutty characteristics. Nice dry finish with a bit of warming alcohol, great example.

May 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours Mahogany brown. Aroma is malt, chocolate malt. toffee, and dark fruit. Finish is a bit to bitter and dry for my taste.
