Poured a deep brown color with a moderate off-white head that left decent lacing. Aroma of caramel and spices. Strong malt entry with hints of caramel, toffee, nuts, and spices that lead into a soft, bitter finish. Nice and smooth on the palate. Alcohol is not noticeable. Nose is quite nice with dried fruit and sweet malt. Flavor is malt-rich with hints of toffee, caramel and molasses. A touch of earthiness peaks through as well. Very subtle bitterness finishes it off.
