Commercial Description:
Our winter strong ale has a gorgeous mahogany hue, a hint of hazelnuts, and a finish reminiscent of mocha and toffee. No spices, just a perfect blend of five specialty malts. Cellarable for 2 years.

Draft at Taco Mac. Pours dark brown with garnet highlights and an off-white head. (bar served it with virtually no head). The aroma is rich with chocolate, maple, and alcohol. The flavor starts rich, malty, and complex: maple, toffee, chocolate, and roasted grains. A mild hop bitterness begins to balance the maltiness around mid-palate. The finish is dry and roasty - and very bittersweet. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and very creamy. Overall, a pleasant beer, but I prefer some of their others...

Draft at Beer Engine ... Dark, almost mahogany, pour with an off white head. No spice, which is not always my idea of a Winter Ale, except for the Celebration Ale. Nutty and sweet, enjoyable but not something I would have more than one of.

Draft @BSP. Pours a nice light ruby with faint beige highlights and a decent, receding off-white head. Nose is perfumy, like marzipan or oxidized wine. Pretty light on the palate, strong toffee/hazelnut alcohol warms the palate and leaves a slight hop tingle in the finish. Pleasant.

Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of cereal and roasted, light notes of resin and dough, with raisin, brown sugar and cola in the background. Head is small white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is a clear dark reddish brown. Flavor starts heavily sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and bitter and lightly acidic. Palate is medium bodied, between creamy and syrupy in texture and has a lively carbonation. A very nice malt dominant beer with no hint of the 8% alcohol. Wintery indeed.

This is a beautiful deep golden red ale. Frothy head that remains till the last. Strong spice flavors that do not linger very long. Very nice blend of malt, beer goodness and spices..

12 oz in a winter seasonals 12pk. Pours a dark amber/light brown with tannish head and good lacing. Aroma is hops, malt, bread. Taste is malty, earthy, nutty, and a surprising hoppy bite. Alcohol is well hidden, this is nice and unique beer - it’s unique because it’s simple, no spices. Very nice.

Pours with a tan head and a mahogany body (yeah I know that is what they officially say, but it is true). Malty and doughy aroma. The taste is pretty strong with a thick body. Heavy on the malts, almost a salty sort of finish. Little bit of hops do that I think. Heavy alcohol content completely unnoticeable. Little nutty with roasted flavors on the side.

Ruby brown color crowned by thick white foam. Sweet malty yeasty aroma. Taste is piney with noticable ginger. Palate is crisp. Sharp hoppy bite. Nice blend of maltiness and spiciness.
