Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

7-13-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to Sparky27
Pour is dark brown black with a decent creamy watery ivory head and some little spotty lacing. Smell is roasted and sweet chalky malt. Flavor is sweet and malty too with no real roasted notes in there but perhaps some nuttiness in the finish. Mouthgeel is a bit high on carbonation and is just a touch too fizzy on the tongue for me.

Bottle courtesy of Sparky27 as an extra in trade. Thanks!
Pours mostly black with some light getting through. Light, creamy tan head. Smell is creamy, roasty, and milky. Taste is roasty, lightly bitter up front with some lightly burnt toast notes, and finishes with some creaminess and a dry bitterness. Pretty nice flavor, good body and is not too thin or thick to keep it from having poor drinkability. Overall a very solid and enjoyable stout.

Very dark brown pour with a chestnut rim. Aroma is super dark roast and hints of hardwood and cedar. Flavor has a woody dryness to it. Not bad. This beer reminds me of wood burning kits one would play with as a kid.

While this beer is by no means a failure--it certainly struggles to deliver in flavor what it presents in appearance. Which is to say that I’m certainly not buying their description of "extreme" for this one, as it’s much closer to average.

Very dark pour. Big brown head. Very toasty and malty. Lasting finish. Lots of malt. Good beer but not my favorite stout

Pours very dark with a crimson hue and a deep tan / brown head. The aroma has roasted malt, cream and vanilla. Medium body with a moderate amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with very roasted malt, spicy / woody hops and sharp fruitiness. The finish is long and quite bitter. A decent stout.

The 12 ounce bottle poured an almost black beverage with a smooth creamy average sized tan head that was mostly lasting and left great lacing on the glass. The aroma was big. There were prominent notes of roasted barley and cherries with more subtle hints of leather, grass and molasses. The body was medium with a slightly sharp carbonation and a somewhat watery texture. The flavor starts lightly bitter and the bitterness grows through the middle to a moderate level and then stays there through the medium finish
