Commercial Description:
This big, roasty stout takes flavor to the extreme. We aren't afraid to use plenty of rich roasted barley and a mountain of hops to give this full-bodied stout that little extra something you've been looking for in a beer.

(Bottled, 1st rating at Pikkulintu American Weeks -07 :) Almost black color with a medium, tanned, frothy, lasting and lacy head. Strongly aromatic-hoppy, licoricey, roasty, deliciously smooth aroma. Very bitter-hoppy, roasty flavor with a long, bitter and burned finish. Not as smooth and licoricey as the aroma, with color malts slightly overdosed. Medium-bodied, dry, burned and bitter, slightly sticky palate with smooth, but quite high carbonation. A very nice stout, but less color malt would make it more balanced.

Pitch black with a giant stable thick & creamy brown head. Roasted malts - chocolate, liquarice & especielly coffee. Large dominant hop appearance as well. The body is full & texture smooth Carbonation average. Lasting bitter finish! Very very good stout!

This stout is pitch black with a nice and solid head. The aroma is alluring with notes of roasted malt, licorice and chocolate. The mouth feel is oily. The flavour is really nice with notes of licorice, chocolate and a nice bitterness in this symphony of impressions. Yummi, there were far too little in this 33 cl. bottle...

12 oz. bottle. served cold. pours black with a very thin tan colored head that quickly fades, leaving only a slight ring around the edges of the glass. aroma is very strong: roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. taste is more coffee than chocolate. and a slight sharpness/bite at the tail end. a pretty good stout.

Loots of coffee, and malt. Seemed a little too carbonated for my buds. Has a roast taste too it at the end of your sip

Typical Colors, but a lot more roast and chocolate in the aroma. Very well ballanced and very full bodied until the end when it somehow feels like it dies in your mouth. A fantastic stout, but nothing I haven’t expireinced before.

Pours dark brown to nearly black with a big bubbled though not quite loose sizeable tan head, dissipating quickly. The nose is dead on dry stout. Roasty, a touch lactic, a bit of a floral sort of English hop. No discernible sweetness. The palate is about where it should be for the style. Not too thick, not too thin, not a lot of carbonation, but as it doesn’t strike a chord with me, it’s hard to put it over the average. The flavors really shine on this brew though. A very light sweetness is cut by a roastiness and and an acidity. There’s some coffee, but really no charcoal. There’s some floral hops up under that roast, to really round this out and make the flavors bright. This beer demonstrates rather well how the style can be so unbalanced, and still entirely drinkable. The finish is roast with some lactic tasting slightly acidic points. The finish is straight up coffee (not the gourmet stuff, but a strong cup of joe). This really one ups Guinness.
