Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Beautiful golden/amber liquid. Nice creamy finger and a half of head with great retention. Decent lacing. Big yeasty bread smell. Candy sugars and maltiness. Peaches and pears, maybe a hint of nectarines. Spicey notes of coriander and nutmeg. Yeast, malt and candy sugars. Citrus flavors, light and sweet. Pecan nuttiness. Slight peppery spice. Light floral hop quality. Very nice body. Creamy and smooth, yet not overly heavy. Excellently drinkable.

(Bottled) Poured golded and lightly hazy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma was of hops, fruitiness and honey. Palate was medium bodied and a little bit dry with medium carbonation. Fruitiness, honey, hops, bitterness, grass and little bit of teabag could be found from the taste. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter.

Pours pale gold with thick, creamy white head and slight haze. Decent lacing. Aroma is candied apples, fresh baked banana bread & all spice. Flavor is honey, apricots, bubble gum and warm alcohol. Crisp warm finish with moderate carbonation. Not my bag, but a solid strong Belgian.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a thin off-white head that quickly fades into a thin ring. Not much in the way of lacing. Estery golden fruit aroma with hints of grape, apple and pear with some crisp floral hop notes and alcohol. Crisp spicy medium body with a lot of estery light fruit notes, floral hops, slightly creamy body, subtle hops and alcohol warmth. Smooth, quaffable and pretty drinkable. Hints of peppery spice, crisp citrus and light fruit notes. I’m picking up estery apple and pear with some orange peel, subtle hop bitterness and alcohol.

22oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, deeper gold colored body with a finger-width, white, fizzy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is quite nice. Flowery hops with peaches, mangos, and apricots. A nice spicing accompanies the honey-banana malts and candies. Nutmeg and cinnamon as advertised. Flavor is similar with a rounded, spiced sweetness. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg with a light, herbal bitterness. Medium sweet, perfume-like malts with a candy taste and some fruits, but not as distinct as the aroma. Some honey and a light wood comes in at the end with a big alcohol warmth. The spices dry this out in the finish and leave a light peachy sweet, spiced nutmeg and cinnamon aftertaste. Medium bodied and extremely soft with a light carbonation. Overall, a pretty enjoyable beer. Nice aroma and solid flavor. Could use a little less spice and alcohol warmth, but tasty nonetheless. Really nice feeling body too.
