Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy honey color with one finger white head and nice lacing. Nose is mild apricot/citrus aroma and yeast. Taste is yeast, light bubblegum, spice and a bitter hop finish mixed with alcohol. Medium, tingly mouth feel. Not bad, but not something I would seek out again.

Had the version of 2008, 2005, and 2002 in a vertical tasting. Very nice and still the 2002 version was the best

~Pours a beautiful see through hazy orange-gold color. Small head quickly diminishes. ~Sweet aroma of light fruits, caramel, and spices. ~A sweet and spicy taste. fruits and alcohol present. ~A light tingly feel from alcohol on tongue. Body is thin and finish is long lasting and sweet. ~This is a good brew. It’s a bit sweet for my taste, but still easy to drink and enjoyable. A good choice for my 200th rating.

22 oz bomber from State Line. Pours clear golden orange with a thin white head. nose of banana, bubble gum, peach and apricot, sweet and bready, with a dry, tart flavor of light-colored fruit. heavy and warm. aftertaste is a little too vegetal for my taste.

Poured a thick yellow color. Yeast and citrus in the aroma. Full bodied sweetness for the taste with a little bit of fruit, orange, lemon, but the finish was a little disappointing and alcoholic.

Bow your head and beg for salvation! In a bitter twist of irony the very beer that promises a "heavenly soft" drink produces a sordid, sinful affair of yelping devils and tortured tongues. The beguiling look of the beer fools many - a light and bracing gold with a white foam head, very divine in stature. And even still, the aroma is delicate and attractive, beaming with the smells of honey, iced tea, a clean metallic finish and the overall bite of fresh cranberries. But ’neat this sheep’s clothing lies a Hel-found most fierce. The flavor is strong to be sure, but extraordinarily bitter. Base, carbonated and all the fun of sucking on a rusty ship’s anchor, with a sweeter penumbra of honey in the aftertaste, but even this sweet succor is burnt to a crisp. Yes, all these flavors are burning, biting and surely the allocated torture for being so easily tricked. Find your heaven’s gate elsewhere, for this is no salvation at all.
