Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Nice clear gold with bright white big head. Nose of fruit and spice. Flavor has a little banana, clove and sweetness from the malt. Alcohol is well hidden with the explosive flavors. Finish leaves a nice sweet coating on the palate.

Poured from the bottle with a smallish off-white head that chose an early exit. Sort of hazy yellow/orange, more yellow but a lot going on in the aroma. Apricot, banana, and spices of clove and cinnamon came through. Much fuller body than I expected - lots of sugar and spice. I enjoyed the flavor, the drawbacks for me being a bit too much sweetness and a slightly chalky finish.

Looks piss yellow, VERY deceiving, it tastes pretty damn good, smells like a dark brew but it is light in color, definitely the characterists and taste of a belgian strong ale, this ones not bad.

Aroma of ripe fruit, raisins, plums, apricot, with some spice in the backdrop. Flavour is malty, and fruity. The alcohol is present, and it welcome, a nice warming down my throat, a nice solid belgian strong.

(USA) Courtesy of AFI96, thx Waylo. This Belgium style ale had a nice hazy orange color with a thin white head. The aroma was of dry fruits, apples, and bananas. The taste is of caramel, and spices. You could really taste the alcohol and the lacing was above average, Finish was bitter and kinda dry, The texture was not what i expected. Avery has some very interesting beers, check them out.

Poured a nice orange golden hue with a white head which had great retention and lacing. Aroma was bread-like and sweet with sugar like notes. Flavor was mild but still good. Sweet sugar notes, some fruit, and hints of alcohol. A delicate finish.
