| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Nice belgian strong. Pours golden with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, with a bit of alcohol in it also. Flavor is spiced fruit (this could work as a christmastime beer). It is a full bodied beer, that lives up to the commercial description of being champagne-like. I wish I had tried this one and the Russian River Salvation before trying their Collaboration ale. It would be interesting to taste the way it worked in that blend. Might need to try a 3 way tasting of the two Salvations, and then the Collaboration. dchmela (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Bottle courtesy Boboski. Pours an orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is citrusy orange hops with a little malty sweetness. Not your typical belgian maltiness, but very nice and balanced by a lot of spicy citrus hops. Solid version of a belgian strong. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Thanks Roy at Ruby’s for hooking me up with a bottle when the Pisgah Solstice tap was acting up. Had a little side-by-side tasting. Poured kind of flat at first but coaxed a nice head after refilling my glass. Lovely golden color. Quite clear. Lovely fruit (orange, orange peel and peach) aroma, along with strong spice on the nose. None of the doughy/floury/yeasty notes of some true Belgians, but the fruit and spice on this one are quite nice. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Definitely one of the better beers from Avery. I really enjoy the yeastiness that blends in so well with the lighter fruits flavors, this has a wonderful mouthfeel, with just enough carbonation. Almost has a marmalade, jamminess with a bit of spritz in the finish, well balanced, and delicious. sfhodense (554), Odense NØ, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Pours a deep gold color with a medium foamy white head. Lots of spicy hops and ripe fruit in the aroma. Sweet flavor of fruit gives away to some hop bitterness, with a bit of alcohol bite. Pretty good.
