Dec 8, 2007 Been a while since I’ve had this one, and I recall it being imbalanced and trending towards cloying malt sweetness. Thankfully, this bottle is quite different and combines a very lively champagne fizz with the dry quality of a fine blond and the fruits of a tripel. Nicely hopped to boot and with a substantial body. A good one.

Dec 3, 2007 Nice clear golden color with nice white head.Aromas of fresh fruit and yeast. Slight carbonation on the palate.Sweetness of fruit on the palate with smooth finish. Not overly complex or sweet. Not bad beer.

Nov 17, 2007 Updated: Jun 12, 2008Pours a hazy orange with a medium-sized white head with light lacing. Nose is of spice , yeast, and fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma with fruit and spices. Additionally, there is a good bit of sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Nov 10, 2007 A very good American made Belgian which is rare. Aroma of light fruit, yeast and spices. Pour was a near perfect dark orange with a huge four finger white head. Taste was not too sweet whcih, in my opinion, it usually is. Heavy on the spices and fruit with a nice dry finish and heavy carbonation. Mouthfeel was not too thick and balanced the beer out. Very nice.

Nov 5, 2007 This is a beautiful beer, full of all the "trappings" of a Trappist beer with its yeast profile with some luscious scents of apricot, starfruit, and also West Coast aromatics. The bitterness comes through in the finish from the alcohol, and it’s got a sticky texture that leaves a fruity sensation on the tongue, hitting all the senses and nestling there. Some salty sea-water notes in the finish. Great and unique.
