Thankfully, this bottle is quite different and combines a very lively champagne fizz with the dry quality of a fine blond and the fruits of a tripel. Nicely hopped to boot and with a substantial body. A good one. nightrider (373), encinitas, California, USA

Pour was a near perfect dark orange with a huge four finger white head. Taste was not too sweet whcih, in my opinion, it usually is. Heavy on the spices and fruit with a nice dry finish and heavy carbonation. Mouthfeel was not too thick and balanced the beer out. Very nice. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 5, 2007 This is a beautiful beer, full of all the "trappings" of a Trappist beer with its yeast profile with some luscious scents of apricot, starfruit, and also West Coast aromatics. The bitterness comes through in the finish from the alcohol, and it’s got a sticky texture that leaves a fruity sensation on the tongue, hitting all the senses and nestling there. Some salty sea-water notes in the finish. Great and unique.
