Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

From tap served in a heavy glass goblet Light orange with a nice light foamy head on top which lasted the entire glass coating the sides as it went down. Smelled of fruits and alcohol with a sweetness. When it firsts hits your tongue it has a sweetness but a wholesome kind of sweetness not sugary. Then you get fruit flavors with a little bit of alcohol and a very slight bitterness - a very nice balance Has a very nice carbonation throughout that lasted the entire time. It is crisp and creamy at the same time and goes down very smoothly. The flavors stay in your mouth for a while and you can feel the warmth spreading around throughout your mouth and down your throat. I really enjoyed this beer. It went down smoothly and the taste was consistent even getting richer as it warmed and opened up. You can definitely feel the high alcohol content so I savored the beer for a while.

bottle poured a cloudy amber in color with a big head that almost continued to grow from the carbination. smells of fruits, yeasts, spice, and some hops. taste is as the smell would let you think, good body with a full and somewhat creamy texture, good hops for the beer, spices, and some good fruits. good beer and masks the 9% rather well.

pours clear copper/gold with little head. Syrupy sweet fruit aromas, honey candied malts. Light malty sweetness is balanced by a latent and bittering hop touch towards the back with a subtle hint of spice. Nice brew

Interesting floral aroma with stone fruit notes. Bright gold color with a white head that attempts lacing. Thin to medium bodied, with light, creamy carbonation. The flavor starts with spice and stone fruit; could be some peach. Definitely could be apricot - more likely than peach. Finish is fairly dry, and not really bitter. It is hard to believe there is 9% in here. This is really delicious.

Bottle, some light malt notes quite a bit of yeast. Pours a fairly clear golden color, with a nice and fluffy white head. Maybe some slight hop notes a bit of pine perhaps. Taste is hoppier than I expected, malts are nice a slightly bitter hops finishes fades to light straw sweetness. Better than I had expected. Its nice and tasty but still pretty easy to drink, alcohol is not noticible.

Bottle. Average bubbly beige head that mostly diminished. Somewhat clear amber color. Fair display of lacework. Aroma was a lovely mix of malty sweetness and light hoppy feel. Notes of caramel, fruit / peach, light floral notes, maybe hint of underlying liquorish. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and light dry and at the same time light thick texture. Well balanced between the moderated sweet malty base flavor and the floral hoppyness. Light dry and what I thought was lingering fruity sweet finish. Really well brewed I thought.

From a 22 oz bottle purchased in West Springfield, MA from Table and Vine and consumed last night on my recent trip east this poured a cloudy orange with a moderate sized off-whiite head and good thick lacing. Nose shows an aroma of fruits and lots of yeast, and a hint of hops. Moutfeel was creamy and a tad sticky. Flavor is sweet and shows caramel and apples. Finish is sweet and a tiny bit of bitterness shows through. Overall a bi differenet but in the end I finished the bottle so it was drainkable.
