Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2007. Clear golden - white head. Sweetness, honey, flowery, licorice, nice hoppy, bitter/sweet finish. And the typical american hop-tastes..

Bomber bottle: a cloudy honey gold pour with a few bubbles, molasses and honey sweet with faint yeast fragrances, faint fruit and malt fragrances, some bread aroma, sweet, citrus and pale malt flavors, had some spice and bread flavors, small bitterness on the tongue, little alcohol warmth in the mouth that increased as the beer warmed up, this had a medium dry finish, the was a little watery on the palate, I thought this was balanced but not real interesting.

From the MKE white elephant exchange. Aroma of dried oranges, alcohol burn, citrus, straw and a hint of bubblegum-like ester. The alcohol burns my nose. Clear, filtered golden with a thin, white, receding head. Bread-y grains, lightly sweet and malty with some bubblegum-like flavor mixed with floral hops and some slightly bitter citrus. Quick finish with more of that alcohol burn showing up. Medium-full body, lighter carbonation and a slight hint of minerals in the finish.

Big Beer flavor of fruits and a tinge of alchohol stayed on the palate. Light pour and it had a good lacing, very good looking beer IMO. Not extremely thrilled overall, but a good beer nonetheless.

Hazy orange with a thin head that falls. Aroma of fruit, sherry, and alcohol effervenscence. Acidulated malt sweetness with prune notes. Bold spicy hop presence in finish. A bit under attenuated for my taste.

Hazy golden color with thick slowly falling head. Malt, hops and stone fruits in the aroma. Fruity, spicy, stone fruits, and cloves. Banana there but pleasantly light. Good rich mouth feel.

Pours a dark slightly hazy golden with a medium lasting head. Aroma is pretty big spice, ripened fruits, yeasts. Flavor is pretty bold. Spicy malts, soap, bitter hops, boozy bananna. Average overall.
