Good thing he didnt have to pay the 6 bucks for it, cause its nothing to great. Easy going down but im not a fan of belgians really in general, so im not a big fan of this. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Mar 11, 2007 Updated: Nov 30, 2007On tap at the Happy Gnome. Light, golden orange in color. Syrupy and pungent aroma of sour orange and urinal alcohol. Tastes of lemon zest and some floral hops with a slight but forceful presence of alcohol. Palate is light but not hollow, and quite smooth. Not memorable, and made with a sloppy design, though it retains tolerability throughout. glennmastrange (807), hobe sound, Florida, USA Mar 7, 2007 Bottle. Light fruity aromas of peach orange, clove with grain and flowers mixed in. It has a smallish white head which just about diminished each time the glass sat. It’s color is an almost clear, gold hue. Taste is refreshing in that it almost has an "ade" quality to it. Acidic and salty to start, and acidy and bitter in the finish. Light to medium on the palate, dry/watery in texture and lively carbonated. nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 25, 2007 The aroma is complex with coriander, nutmeg, light fruit, yeast, malt, and alcohol. The appearance is hazy copper gold with a two finger head. The flavor is complex just like the aroma with a spicy peppery finish. The palate is smooth. This beer could be from several of the best breweries of Belgium and no one would even know it’s an Avery. Maybe I should say any of the best brewers of Belgium are close to the quality of Avery. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Feb 25, 2007 bottle. orange/golden pour with rising bubbles and thick frothy off white head. spicy, yeast, floral aroma. crisp and lively. yeast, spice, baked bread, apricot. earthy bitter finish.
