Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Bottle. Golden body, with a small white head. Funky sweet yeasty aroma is sort of unique. Not quite floral, light bready caramel notes. Flavour contains similar characteristics, and notes of what one drinker described as tea leaves. Its not quite right, but its the closest thing i can think of. Palate is smoothish but on the light side. Doesn’t really do it for me, but it may have suffered a bit for being such a contrast to the sour beers imbibed previously. Thanks for the bottle Probiere!

22oz bottle - Pours golden with a moderate head. The pleasant aroma is of yeast and citrus. The palate was lively and the finish fairly crisp. I didn’t think the alcohol presence was too strong at all. However, even though I have a sweet tooth when it comes to Belgian ales, I did think this one was TOO sweet. I think a bit less candi sugar would be a good idea. The sweetness was rather cloying. There are some good spice notes though. Overall it’s a solid ale, though not a great one.

22oz bottle. Clear orange-amber hue with a thin ring of white head. Spicy and caramel nose. Bready and citrus aroma. Mildly lively with a sweet caramel, alcohol flavor. Thick and cloying. Tingling effervescence. Long and smooth with a dry long bitter hop finish. Alcohol is rather apparent. Fruity and spicy notes. Almost peachy syrupy with a nutmeg, sweet bread flavor. Smooth and wonderful.

I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. Pours a cloudy apple juice and has very little head. Aroma is very good...toasted lady fingers...spice, sweet malt and fruit...a bit of belgian yeast. Taste is actually fairly wheatish...must be the spice. Alcohol is totally balanced. Mouthfeel is very crisp and dry.

22oz bottle: Pours a cloudy dense golden orange. The aroma is citrus, mostly orange peel and peachy grapefruit with a little alcohol. This has a medium body with a creamy oily mouthfeel. The citrus is followed in the flavor with the orange and a little banana. It was quite tangy for a beer especially the deeper I got in the bottle. There was a definite alcohol tingle on the tongue that I could have done without. In the end, it was a little over the top for me but probably would have been better having aged about a year or so.

Hazy orange body with a moderate head. Aroma is spices, lighter fruits, pepper, light caramel. Flavor is the same, at first there was WAY too much alcohol but later it was more palatable. A solid offering, but I would have liked to see less alcohol and more of other flavors.

Aroma filled the room upon opening and pouring. Decent head retention and definite raw fruit salad aroma (apple, pear, grape, hint of banana) as well as some whiskyish aroma. Spicy flavor dominated by clove, biscuit, bread yeast, dried fruit. A hint of alcohol warmth on the tongue. A pretty rich beer all around with flavors that continued to evolve. Great label!

Sorry, but this beer does not pour brown nor has a tan head (must have been another beer) It pours a light orange with an almost non-existent white head when poured into a chilled glass. Very litte carbonation. Bourbon note from the alcohol. Did not taste the apricot, cinnamon. Finishes crisp with spice. A whopping $5.99 per 22 ounce bottle in South Florida.
