kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA Feb 25, 2006 Poured out a nice golden/orange with a decent size head.Aromas of fruit and yeast, also in the taste. This to me was a well done Belgian. Sofajoern (146), Denmark Feb 13, 2006 Beautiful flowery, honeylike, citrussy scent from an almost orange brew. Flavour is quite earthy and yeasty, marred slightly by the sharp taste of alchohol. Still, a rather nice bon-belgian belgian. Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Feb 11, 2006 Nice orange pour with a fluffy white head, active carbonation and thick lace. Lemon and spice aroma... some coriander. The alcohol is strong in this one, immediately evident upon tasting. Very creamy mouthfeel, nice carbonation, very ’big’ as they proclaim. In addition to the heavy spice, there is some banana, clove and yeasty notes in there. Crisp, dry finish, lingering alcohol. Not bad. GonZoBeeR (2155), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Feb 9, 2006 Updated: Feb 10, 2006Aroma:full of belgian trapist beer, mixe of fruit and yeast..
Appearance:beautifull orange and cool head...
Flavor:fruit and yeast, light alcohol.... Dinobrown (46), Virginia, USA Feb 9, 2006 Pour a orange hue with considerable head. The aromas are not yeast drivern but more eathy toned. Hits of nutmeg and fruit. The flavor of liquorish root, (thanks Pete) parsnips, and potato skins fill the palate. Not overly Belgian but I really enjoy the uniqueness of this beer. I expected more hops but they present themselves in a balanced and subtle way. SSSteve (2045), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Feb 8, 2006 Updated: Jun 13, 2008peach color with small white head. yeast, sugary fruit, candy aroma. yeast, grain, spices in flavor. nice warmth going down. a hint of cinnamon in the finish. i think this one is made quite nicely-2/8/06---re-rate--clear golden with a nice soft light fruit aroma. the flavor is very peachy or apricot with some yeast. light bodied and very drinkable. still an excellent beer. beerstar (19), Reston, Virginia, USA Feb 7, 2006 Drunk, from the largest of Lucifer glasses, this golden monster unleashes it’s true character. By all looks deceiveing, this orange hued beast slides down the throat, like a drunkard on a steep slope. Not quite Belgian, but not to be missed.
