hallinghansen (263), Odense SV, Denmark Mar 28, 2009 Bottle. Copper body, with a finger thick off-white head. Aroma is fruity (peach), candy sugar and malt. Flavor is hops, candy sugar, malt and fruits. A very nice beer. randolphjj (88), Raymore, Missouri, USA Mar 27, 2009 A very, very, very faint belgian wheat nose. Very very. A great golden color with a delicate white head.
Ahhhhh... but the taste is worth it! Belgian candy sugar with a light malt. I get what they’re going for here, and I like it.
Smooth, not too syrupy for such a candy-style beverage. thejon375 (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 26, 2009 Deep dark color with a tan thick head. Tastes like a good fruitcake. Fruit and spice give a well balance on the palate. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 26, 2009 Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, orange beer with some microfloaties and a small, off-white head. Sweet, syrupy nose, a bit herbal, with peaches in the background. Sugary sweet flavor with a good dash of fruits, some herbal notes and an evident but pleasant alcohol warmth. Full-bodied, sweetish mouthfeel. Lasting finish with sweetness, fruits, some herbs and alcohol. A quite pleasant beer, not impressing, easy drinkable but maybe a bit on the sweet side. (090213) angrypirate06 (678), Texas, USA Mar 18, 2009 Pours a nice amber color with a one finger, decently lasting white head. Smells of flowers, clove and spice. Strong alcohol taste up front, but finished with a nice floral hop profile and some bread notes. Nice mouthfeel. BelgianBeerGal (1275), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Mar 14, 2009 Local bottle. Clear golden amber colour with a small white head and some light lacing. Sweet aroma with a hint of Belgian yeast. Flavour starts out rather sweet then hits a spicey note before landing on a finish that has an odd hoppy and alcohol note. Good but a strange finish. homeslice (36), , California, USA Mar 10, 2009 Reddish gold with yellow highlight, non lasting top, semi-transparent. Smells of caramel, lemon, honey, and spice. Tastes of bread, nuts, caramel, and spices. A beer whose smell matches the taste. Good American Triple. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Mar 9, 2009 Bottle. Had a medium golden pour. Sweet malty aroma with a light hop character. More bitterness was noticeable in the flavor which threw me off a little. Had light pepper, fruit, and a medium alcohol bite in the finish. Not bad but confusing.
