Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

First thing I noticed was the beautiful label. Warm Golden Pour...nice white head. Sweet smelling, but not over powering. You can taste the alcohol. Over all Tasty but will set up back a lil...

TAP: at the Muddy Pig (St. Paul, MN) on 1.31.09. Gold pour with small head. Fruit/spice on the nose, medium body, alcohol is noticeable. Bread and fruit flavor. Very easy drinking, excellent beer.

Bottle with Butters and sixfootsix. Pours an off-white lacing head with a golden body that has a hint of amber to it. Smells of yeast and sweet fruit. Flavor is yeast, bread, and apricot. Finish is sweet and somewhat long. Overall a tasty brew.

Fitting for my 777th rating. Bottle shared with barrios and sixfootsix at woody’s. Clear copper pour with good white head. Aroma really does have the fruity apricot notes as described, some yeast. Syrupy fruity and floral hops with a pine twist and noticable abv as it warms. Thought I was drinking an Imperial IPA for a second! Medium thick body with medium carbonation. Great label art.

Pours a wonderful golden color with a white forming head. Smell the big hops in this one. Wow. Great feel in the mouth and not too long lasting of a flavor. Good taste of hops and spice. Great brew from Avery.

One of my favorite brews from Avery. A great strong ale that is full of excellent malts and spices!

Aroma of sour apple, yeast, and spice. Brass colored pour with a fluffy white head and ample carbonation. Flavor exhibits orange peel, white pepper, and honey. The alcohol is present but not distracting. A bit above average.
