Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Pour with a big head, dense and creamy. Lots of residual lace and a clear golden color. Peppery alcohol taste some apple and some orange, slight malt (light caramel) and a surprising amount of hops. Smells of honey and chamomile Clean and dry.

This clearly wins for most intricate and colorful label I have seen. And its not the only good label Avery has come up with. There are some interesting comments on salvation thru brewing as well. Tan gold pour with moderate head. Fairly sweet honey and malt aroma plus a good amount of yeast. A robust and flavorful golden ale. The taste is hoppy, fresh, and well bittered. Not much spice or citrus notes. The 9 percent ABV is not really noticeable. Pretty straitforward for a Belgian style. That is the American way. I have yet to try a wimpy or lifeless beer from Avery.

Poured a cloudy golden with a thin white head and light carbonation. Lots of fruitiness, very sweet aroma, some nutmeg and light hops. Flavors are has a strong spice front which moves into a sweet light peach fruit taste and ends with a yeasty taste. The alcohol is definitely present. The beer as a whole is pretty good.

-golden yhellow with only a mild head and low carbonation. Not your classic-appearing Belgian-style golden. Mild esters on the nose. Flavor of light candi sugar with some yeasty esters and clove with a fair amount of alcoholic warmth. A flavorful brew, but they don’t necessarily mesh perfectly. A decent strong golden ale.

Crushed with Jakebra. Aight, golden ale? This in’t a golden. Almost barley wine tendencies. Very very sweet nose and the alcohol is apparent from the beginning. Very interesting brew, with some good and bad tendencies.

Pours golden hazy, beige head. Aroma, candi sugar and yeasty. Taste, malty, thick grainy notes and lots of alcohol with sweet honey. Some fruits (citrus). Overall sweet with a medium body and thick mouthfeel. Leaves a light apple/cider taste.
