The aroma is very sweet with primary notes of peach and hops, but also hint so the alcohol, that gives it a small stint of metal. The flavor is quite powerful - the alchol makes it mark with a good body on which is a nice fruityness with peach and an overripe flavor dominates. The flavor also contains hints of coriander, and in the end the hops makes it self known, though only subtlely, but enough to give it a slight bitterness. A nice American brewed Belgian Strong Ale. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 20, 2008 22 fl oz bomber. Pours hazy orange with a lacing off-white head. Spiced aroma, slight herbal and carboard-like. My wife immidiately said: wet socks :(. Flavour is clearly with notes of Belgian yeast but also undefineable spiced. Sweet and slight woody with a lingering fruity and liqourice and slight peppery note into the finish. Ends with a fruity hoppy note. Strange and without balance. I would once again prefer a Belgian style from Belgium and an American style from America. fonefan (11003), VestJylland, Denmark
