Commercial Description:
The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Clear, bit hazy, golden orange color, short head. Aroma of hop, fruity, citrus, bit herbal, floral. Very sweet, bit hoppy taste, honey, bit dusty. I expected some more of this brew. Not better than average.

Brown pour. Off white head. Honey, agave nectar, oranges, caramel and hops. Flavor is sweet but has a good hop backbone to back it up. I liked this a lot.

Bottle, at various locations during the Zythos weekend, March 2006. Gold, moderate white head and good condition. Big intense malty sweet perfumed honey notes tempered by chalky bitter yeast.

On tap at Brewski’s in Fayetteville AR. Rich deep gold. Thin white head. Very Tripel tasting. Has a candy aroma. Candy apples in fact. This has a rich sweetness for such a surprising quick finish. Medicinal flavor is pronounced. Coats the tongue like melted butter. Tremendous UPDATE: Aged 5 years in the bomber bottle. Hazy orange gold. Thin white head. Tastes a lot like Bro. Davids, except it has a big hop finish instead of smoothness. Big esters, big bananas, some diacetyl. Overall, I’d say this did not age too well.

cloudy orange, large smooth offwhite head. yeasty and slightly fruity aroma. something that might resemble stable or leather, but is a bit sweeter. lots of aroma. flavor is sweet, malty, sawdust, grassy, faint fruitiy sugary flavor, bitterness that is hoppy and sawdusty. this one best before 1-9-2009 acc. to distributor, so it’s rather well cellared. if only avery had printed the production date i’d be wiser as to how old it is. in three words. bitter, grass, sweet...

Small white head, which quickly disappears, over orange-red body. Lovely, fruity aroma with notes of honey, yeast, and spice. Big, full taste, with grass and fruit notes; very like a normal Belgian trippel. Something odd about it, though, like a slightly off taste. Aftertaste is quite bitter, in fact, maybe too bitter. Overall, a good beer, but certainly far from the best trippel I’ve had. (0.65l bottle in glass.)

(bottle sampled at Stockholm Beer Festival) Golden with a large fluffy white head. Dry aroma of oranges, white bread and pepper. Sweet flavour of oranges and spices with a really dry aftertaste of orange-peels, pepper, alchohol and hops. Great beer!

Avery did not live up to their name this time. This ale is fairly simple. There is a sweet malt aroma. The flavor has an odd herbal quality. Sweet, with a dry finish. Decent palate, fairly smooth, until it gets near room temperature and becomes more difficult to drink.
